CALL FOR BOOK CHAPTERS: The GOAL: Best Practices in Service-Learning with Graduate, Online, and/or Adult Learners
Abstract submission (1,000 words maximum) deadline: December 15, 2013
Book Editors: Drs. Lazarina Topuzova and Kristine Hoover; Gonzaga University
Call for Chapters. We are soliciting chapters from a broad range of disciplines. Each chapter should document research in service-learning with graduate, online, and / or adult learners. Abstracts should clearly explain the purpose, research design, and theoretical and practical contributions of the proposed chapter. Manuscripts must be original and not published or under review in whole or part elsewhere. In general, actual chapters should be approximately 4,000 – 8,000 words in length.

Abstract acceptance date: January 15, 2014
Full chapter submission: August 1, 2014
Anticipated publication date: January 15, 2015.
Michigan Journal of Community Service Learning (MJCSL) seeks articles for volume 21 (fall 2014, spring 2015).
The MJCSL is a national, peer-reviewed publication with subscribers all over the world, and includes articles on research, theory, pedagogy, and other issues pertinent to curriculum-based service-learning in higher education, campus-community partnerships, and scholarship of/on engagement for a faculty and administrator audience.
The MJCSL is a national, peer-reviewed journal with faculty and administrator subscribers and readers all over the world, and publishes articles on:
- research, theory, pedagogy, and other issues pertinent to curriculum-based service-learning,
- campus-community partnerships,
- scholarship of engagement, and
- scholarship on engagement.

There are no length guidelines for abstracts. Please submit a description that adequately conveys the focus/plan for the article, along with your email address.
